Bobbi Kohnen has been
creating pottery for 33 years. To her clay
is a wonderful medium with which to work. The shapes and forms that
can be created are never ending. Always looking for new ideas she takes many
of her influence from nature. Each of her works are hand
made on the wheel, from slab, or hand formed from raw clay.
Everyone of them is a one of a kind.
She began experimenting with this medium in
her basement. After discovering a talent in pottery she began
to pursue her art degree. Upon graduating with her AS degree
in art she began selling her product at art fairs. Today she
works out of her northern Michigan art studio in Frankfort, MI.
She has taught classes to both children and
adults. Classes range from creating
objects to raku firing. Send us your email address
and we can keep you informed of up coming classes.
See the Contact Us page.
When she's not busy playing in the mud she
and her husband keep busy. They hike, camp, sail, ski and enjoy
spending time with their yellow lab. They also travel to see
their four children and grand children. Bobbi runs and
bicycles in races in the summer and participates in cross-country
ski races in the winter.
She sells her product in
local art galleries, at art fairs around Michigan, and on line.
